RFID: Use Case - Automation of Transport Equipment Management <Warehouse>
From analog management with paper and barcodes to automated reading with RFID, achieving labor reduction! Efficiently searching for target objects.
At a certain supermarket, a large number of transport equipment such as shopping carts and folding containers are used daily for product delivery, making trips back and forth between the store and the logistics center. At each store, staff manually count the equipment every day at closing time, and also check during incoming shipments and when returning equipment. The logistics center also verifies the equipment during collection from the stores and regularly conducts inventory checks, leading to significant effort and burden in managing the transport equipment. To address this, RFID tags were attached to the transport equipment. By enabling bulk reading, the time required for confirming and counting the transport equipment at both the store and logistics center was greatly reduced.
